The best you can do is tell them. A lot of people think because we had so much rain, there should be no shortage of water. I informed a neighbour about the ban and she shut off the hose right away. If they refuse I wouldn't hesitate to call the city to have them fined.
Khyron
Why someone would decide to spray their lawn is beyond me. I mean it just rained yesterday for fuck sakes. Even if there wasn't a warning, the lawn doesn't need water every day.
after all that rain we've had any person who waters their lawn today or in the following week should get a swift kick to the groin area.
I had no idea there was a ban. Luckily the car wash I went to at lunch today was closed for lunch.
^ or ovaries like a great anchorman once said
So how did this happen?, why all of a sudden have we all started to use more water, or is it that the production levels have dropped.
As for people watering there lawns..WTF...where have they been for the past 3 weeks.

Water production is limited by high levels of silt and debris
Oh ok, I guess I missed that, don't watch TV much.Originally posted by QuasarCav

And on the social side, dumb people think "Oh poopy, water shortage? I'd better use tons of water before anyone else ho ho ho." Multiply that times the number of bad Calgary drivers (I figure that makes a good baseline for dumb) and you've got one exacerbated problem.Originally posted by QuasarCav

"Oh yeah! Plus, armed men are stealing my pop!"
I washed my car yesterday too, but I can't say I feel bad for doing it since the restrictions didn't kick in until midnight. Besides, I didn't know either.

This is a good excuse to shower with your hot female room-mates.
Yeah, today at hyatt mercedes we put a notice up and we didn't wash the exterior of any cars today.
On that list it doesn't say anything about washing cars though, however I will stop and use little water until the problem subsides.
I also washed the car yesterday after the cruise, didn't know about the ban until last night.
I was listening to Vibe and they said Bronco was pissed...Hey, I'd be too.
I was driving in my car, and to my surprise, I saw little kids running through a sprinkler. Why didn't I stop? Well, I was going a little fast, traffic was too congested, and I had an appointment to get to asap. I'm sure somebody said something.
stickied for a couple of days...maybe Beyond can help conserve a lil H2O
...@therealarifjina...
alot of people really don't give a shit or are clueless about it, the carwash down in Shawnessy was business as usual with lines in all bays
It was a given this type of thing was coming down the line given the way that June has gone. You don't have to be the smartest person to know that the water treatment facilities were going to be running way over max capacity. I was absolutely pissed driving around in my dirty as hell car seeing all the people with their nice clean just washed cars!
And I think we should stop eating bran muffins, and drinking prune juice, too
That way, maybe we can reduce our toilet flushes
I feel bad about this morning, I was feeling a bit rebel, and I double flushed the toilet, never should have done that, I'll eat a brick of cheese tomorow to make up for it.
