if you have the parts the installation is really simple. the way it comes off is the way it goes back on. just the bleeding of the lines need two people so one can pressurize the line while the other one releaves the valve on the caliper.
when you replace them you might as well change the pads also.
New calipers from the dealership cost a lot. Here are your options:
a. get raped by the dealership
b. buy rebuilt ones which don't work half the time, seriously.
c. rebuild your old ones, which costs way less and will work well. BUT you need to find someone that can definitely do it well.
I'm just wondering why you have to replace all 4 calipers though. Are they all leaking?
Ya usually all 4 calipers don't fail all at once. Are they all seized? I'd try rebuilding your old ones first.
Jeff is right, either pay up or do it yourself.
You can get some good OE calipers from the net but sometimes it hit or miss with how good they are.
Get a service manual for your car and have some quality time with your car. It will cost you a fraction of dealer price and you will learn something new.
i think i only need 2, one from front right and one from rear right side, the reason i need replace is becoz that looks like my car will "break by itself" for some reason, and the break pads in right side is way more thiner than the left side. (what i hearld from honda)
buy some rebuilt ones from part source or auto value and trade in your old core, thats the best thing to do. Then change/re- install everything yourself, its pretty easy.
rebuilding the caliper yourself is a waste of time and money IMO. After buying the rebuild kit, you have to spend so much time/effort into cleaning them, re lubing them etc.. etc..... the savings are marginal
ive bought alot of rebuilt calipers and i've had no probs what so ever with any of them.
Junkyards?? They might have what you need!
^quick junk yard question while we're on it, what would be my best bet for newer cars? in town.. say some crashed spec v's or ser's... what yard has newer stuff, or a yard that pulls all good parts off the cars and may have them in inventory? looking for body parts..
