Tell the glass company that you'll pay cash and it will be way cheaper than what they charge the insurance co. I think the cheapest windshields are about $200 installed.
OEM glass costs more. I think PPG makes good windshields.
The glass company should use the proper adhesive and sealant because your windshield adds to the car's structural rigidity.
In this weather, don't have those mobile installers do it. Maybe they don't do mobile installs in this weather.
In the past, I've found Windshield Surgeons to be the cheapest...

I just don't think it would be a good idea to install it till after all the rock chips are swept off the roads. You'll just end up having to get another one installed! hahaOriginally posted by dj_honda

Go to tintmasters on 17th ave SE. He quotes some awesome prices! Quoted me $250 installed for a new one on my car - far stretch from the $375 I was quoted a few stores down at Crystal.

I have taken my vehicles to King's Glass. There are a couple of them in town and ask for Chuck- he is the owner, and ask if there is a cash discount with no receipt. You may have to go in as he may think you are trying to set him up over the phone.
Actually I was dropping a new 4.6L in my Crown Vic and it literally dropped and smashed my windshield that was a bitch but the new windshield only cost $150. I got it from a mobile installer and everything it was nice but I went through I think it was called the glass doctor or something like that.
