without a doubt, its a tough time to be a fan in jays land, this cleveland series was so frustrating to watch. burnett shits the bed, then we let leads slip away in the next two games. the only consolation i can really take is that alot of the losses are pretty close, so hopefully when BJ comes back and the rotation starts pitching effectively, and if the bullpen can hold a fucking lead, then just maybe things will start going our way.

The Jays really need to figure out a way to get out of this slump. It doesnt help having to go face the Red-Sox in a 3- game series and end up facing Beckett, Dice-K and Wakefield. Only way it could get worse is if the Sox moved Schilling up a start so we have to face all 3 of their aces.

Wheres that guy that was telling me Jay's pitching staff was on par with the Red Sox staff in the preseason ?

The same problems of the last few years are apparent with the Jays again, pitching. Sure doc can win the CY every year and they can have 3 guys with 30 hr's but that aint gonna get em anywhere. The yanks are struggling but you know they will still be there in September. The mistake the Jays made is signing a bunch of mediocre/ washed up pitchers that they thought could fill in the back end...so until they can sort that out, and have more than 1.5 starting pitchers (.5 being Burnett, who has electric stuff but still hasnt reached that 1/1a potential that he should/could/expected to).....untill then.....3/4 place it is....85 wins may be better than 70 wins of a few years ago, but it aint gonna get you anywhere.

Roy Halladay is going on the DL for acute appendicitis and is likely to miss about a month.


Things look pretty bleak right now with BJ gone for the year and Doc gone at least a month. But we still have a great offense and Burnett taking the mound tonight. Hopefully we can end this losing streak.

well when it rains, it surely pours. why not add doc to the DL too. this has to be one of the most unbelievable parades to the DL that i've ever seen.

and now as i'm watching the game, glaus is limping pretty badly. awesome!
