customized air intake duct/box.
intake system is TOPFUEL CARBON CHAMBER short ram.
*intake resonator removed
*intake air hole installed(right behind of signal lamp)
*cold air of the outside comes in, goes two way, and hit the air filter on bottom/side.
(cold air from the fender side hits ABS module and make that area cold.)
I had a couple of testdrive without signal lamp cover,
the outside temperature was about 15'c
and after about 20 minutes of drive with VTEC kicking in,
I opened the hood, and checked the engine room temp
by my hand.
valve cover and header area was very hot, couldn't touch
the valve cover with bare hand.
but, the air box was cool,
evenmore inside of air box was kinda COLD!
felt same on filter and stainless intake pipe.
and ABS module was cold, too.
I think the air box temp was around 10~15'C
while engine room temp was around 50~60'c
if I can put my car on the dyno with 10~15'C air box temp,
I'm sure I can make 150+ whp on MD250 machine.
(my gsr recorded avg 148.2 whp on very hot weather.)
thx to my father who helped me to do the duct work.
how do u think about my DIY guys?
