I would travel back into time but not to "off" someone persay. I would Time Travel back to India, January 30th, 1948. And threaten the Hindu Teen, who assasinated Mahata Ghandi. To make sure that the sad day in Human History had not happened.

I think it would be amazing to see just how the events of the world would have been affected had Ghandi lived to a natural death.

i would go way back in time with a formula and directions to gather and make gunpowder. give the gun to great x5 grandfather. tell him to replicate the gun and sell it to leaders of many nations. hopefully ill be rich in the future..or that act will end all of mankind earlier..
