    Default Boxing/Kickboxing Clubs....post your experiences/recommendations

I am thinking of joining one of these clubs to vary up my excercise routine. I have heard they are great for conditioning and they seem like a lot of fun. I dont want to fight or anything but i want to learn from a respectable place.

I am leaning towards kick boxing right now and I know that Mike Miles is a very respected name in the city.

Please post what you know about these sports locally and where to go, prices, experiences, where not to go, etc.

I am sure there are a few others on the boards who would love to try it as well.

I went to National Martial arts club for 7 years and Mike Miles and did Kick boxing there.. Awesome club(National) , the Master was a world champion kick boxer and is a really nice guy.. Mike Miles was to cocky for my likeing.

    Anyways just my 3 cents.

My brother trained with Mike Myles for years and loved it. He stopped because of a shoulder injury.

Why train anywhere other than Mike Miles if you live in Calgary?

    The guy is a phenom.

    Thanks for the responses everyone.

Yeah I've had a few friends go through him and they have all had good things to say about the instruction, experience etc.

I think I might check it out.

I started at Dragons Den a week ago and have only had one lesson. They focus a lot more on technique and conditioning than actual sparring. So far, I'd recommend it. The class is really small so you get a lot of attention from the instructor.
