FS: Trek 6000 mountain bike CHEAP

1999 TREK 6000 hardtail mountain bike for sale. color: red. Front suspension (Rock Shox Indy S). Has Grateful Dead dancing bear stickers on front fork (easily removed with WD-40).

Excellent condition. I rode this bike to university for 1 year, then moved to Canada and it sat in my parents garage in Minnesota until December when I brought it to Calgary. I have all of the original documentation, etc.

Tuned up last January. The bike needs a new freehub (this is the thing that lets you pedal backwards). I had it into a shop to replace the freehub but they couldn't unstick it, and said it would be easiest to get a new back wheel (about $80).

Make an offer. I paid $900 USD in 1999.

how many spd and does it ride forward without the freehub?

not sure how many speeds (lots) I can check tonight and get back to you. It does ride forward but you would want to replace the freehub right away

8 gears on the back and 3 on the front for a total of 24 speeds

Sorry man, but that's too much for that bike, especially if I have to put more $ in to fix it. You got ripped off when you bought it if you paid $900US for it.
