Question GTA3 - "Turismo" mission question

In Grand Theft Auto 3, does the mission named "TURISMO" ever disappear?

I finished the mission, it says Mission Completed, and it gives me the money. When I go back to that booth (the phone icon is still there) for another mission, I get presented with the same mission (the race against the 3 El Diablo cars).

Is that how it's supposed to be? The 'mission' is always there and is some kind of 'mini-game' to get extra money?

    Google says...

"The most common reason people have one mission missing is because they killed Kenji (in "Waka-gashira Wipeout") before finishing all his missions. Vice City and SA were designed to keep this from happening - that's why sometimes a mission marker will disappear until you go do some other missions."

Yup, Turismo stays available so that you can improve your fastest time for the mission in your stats. Have you played through the other GTA's? For timed races and hi-scorey stuff, they quite often let you go back and try to beat your previous performance.

Cool, I was hoping and sort of thought this was the case! I thought it was weird that this major of a bug could be in a best selling game that got great reviews (on console at least). I just think the game should give a notice or message that this mission is now a 'mini-game.'

Oh well. No bug, so game on! GTA3 is awesome
