    Default "Thermoreactive" Paint

I know thermoreactive isn't really a word but that's not the point. The point is it's the one word that truly fits. There's a company that makes this paint for cars and it changes color as a reaction to heat. I'm down in the states...deep down...and we get a lot of crazy weather, hot and cold. I think this will be a big thing down here. What do you guys think?

LMAO Man am I old. I remember when those things came out. Yeah, if you watch the video, when they turn the water on in the sink, I can just imagine the look of the paint when it rains. I'd want to drive my car everytime it rained just to see the designs.

What's funny (and will probably sale in my city) is in the brochure they have chrome shoes. Chrome, alligator skin, shoes. They'll probably go good with my chrome pimp hat.

there is a shop in edmonton that sells the alsa line. it is pretty pricey and you need to find a good person to spray the product since they will have had no experience with it at all.

i am considering the exposures paint but the company (alsa) doesnt know how long it will last because it is still too new. right now i dont want to spend 5000.00 on a complete paint job to find out it will only last one or two years.

it is a great concept though.

the mirror chrome would be an awsome idea aswell

Those came out here too, I used to play with them as a kid.

As for the paint, I wouldn't do it to my car, but it would be interesting to see on the road.

I used to love that shit Used to put the cars in the freezer then using a paint brush (dipped in hot water) make stripes on the car.

The whole thermo paint thing sounds cool on paper, but it's going to look really, really stupid.

There's going to be weird bulgy color spots on the hood from the engine heat, and a streak up the back of your bumper from the exhaust. The rest of the body will likely remain cool.

Or if the sun is at an awkward angle - the roof and one side of your car will be one color, the rest another...
