Default how to remove carbon build up on exhaust tip

Just wondering what the best way to remove all the carbon build up on my muffler tip would be?

If you are referring to burnt oil, I use this degreaser(i think its castrol?) that comes in a purple bottle with one of those green scotch brite pads.

Use mother's polish/eagle one nevr dull, etc. I would use the nevr dull as it comes with material in the can to wipe/scrub with. Or you can use steel wool if you just get the polish.

Before you polish, you should try to clean off whatever gunk is on it with a degreaser like Simple Green.

Might need to reapply more stuff and keep polishing it off, but it'll turn something thast completely covered in black soot/grime and make it look like fresh chrome

I need to do this as well.. i hear VIM works too?
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

My muffler tip is chrome and to get rid of the carbon build up, I use firstly use Gunk Intake cleaner. I let it soak and rub it out with a cloth. I don't like to use a pad or anything that'll leave scratch's. Then I use Mothers, chrome cleaner.

Well, I used Gunk Intake Medic and rubbed it around with a scotch brite pad... scrubbed pretty hard and got most of it off... then put on the mothers aluminum and mag polish and buffed it up... looks fantastic now! Very shiny!

I swear nothing will work better than oven cleaner. it even removes the tarnish that you get on stainless steel over time. that'll clean your pipe, and like all the other guys say, some metal polish will shine it up
