I haven't been following this at all.. they said he did an "indignity" to her body. Wtf did he do?
"A nation can survive its fools, and even the ambitious. But it cannot survive treason from within. An enemy at the gates is less formidable, for he is known and carries his banner openly. But the traitor moves amongst those within the gate freely, his sly whispers rustling through all the alleys, heard in the very halls of government itself. For the traitor appears not a traitor; he speaks in accents familiar to his victims, and he wears their face and their arguments, he appeals to the baseness that lies deep in the hearts of all men. He rots the soul of a nation, he works secretly and unknown in the night to undermine the pillars of the city, he infects the body politic so that it can no longer resist. A murderer is less to fear. The traitor is the plague.”

We live in a society that states that you are innocent until proven guilty, not the other way around. Not that I have been following the case at all...

``Michael White is presently being interviewed by homicide investigators,'' said police spokeswoman Lisa Lammi. ``If he is charged, we will advise you of that fact. He hasn't been arrested at this point.''

The fact that Liana White is four months pregnant has prompted chilling comparisons to Scott Peterson, a California man convicted of killing his wife, Laci, and their unborn child. But White told the Sun that unlike Peterson, he was thrilled to discover Liana was pregnant again and both were looking forward to having a sibling for their two-year-old daughter.

The case had also raised fears that Liana White had fallen prey to a multiple killer who has yet to be caught.

    So you're implying he :

    1) Killed his pregnant wife

    2) Reported her missing

    3) Led a search team that found her body

If he killed her, wouldn't he have tried to make sure the body wasn't found? Something's not adding up here.

He probably wanted to try something new, cause who does that anyways?

Luckily you're not on the jury! You think hes guilty already.. I mean he may be but no one is 100% sure. One thing I did notice in the interviews was that he didn't really seem sad. Looked like he was forcing himself to cry, but who knows

I do think he is guilty and this is why:

Peace officers have to have "reasonable and probable grounds (rpg)" in order to lay an information. In essence if you were to ask the officer involved off the record if he thought the accused did it he would believe so 100%

Unfortunatly like it or not Justice has become a business. It is no longer about punishing those the break laws but it is a cost factor. Why do you see all of these sentences being worked out in plea bargins? If buddy did the crime he should do the time but all he does is gets a slick lawyer to put a carrot in front of the Crown and they will bite to avoid the costs of trial and witness travel etc etc.

A homicide is probably the most severe charge in Canada (and the world) and the investigation has to be near perfect. Before they laid the charge you can bet that the evidence points 100% to the husband based on how quick this all came to a head.

So obviously the EPS has rpg in this case and laid the information.

On a side note my guess is that he cut the kid from her stomach and this is the reason for the additional charge.

IMO the investigators know how a killer mind works. They know he did it, now they just need to prove it. This is their job, to profile and study tendencys of people like this. Wouldn't you think that killers and serials tend to repeat certain paterns? I figure he knew were she was all along but, had to put on a act to portray innocents. Then felt a little bit of guilt so he set up his own search party and then finds the body? This has to be some form of guilt because in a part of his mind he didn't want her to stay out there rotting( as messed up as that sounds) he goes and finds her to get some type of closure.

I saw this fat fuck crying on the news, and he doesn't fool me at all.
You can call me arrogant and judgmental, but I call him guilty!

Of course thats the case, but that doesn't necessarily mean that the investigators are correct. They believe one thing, and follow the trail based on that assumption. Granted, they are USUALLY right, but that doesn't mean they are always right. This guy COULD be guilty, but he might not be.

I don't know how accurate the media is, but there are a few clues indicating it might be the husband. In my books, he is guilty until proven innocent.

If he did the same thing as the last guy did, it'd be too obvious. Had to do something different.
