Default mould in a bathromm Q

Hey i'm trying to help out my cousin he has mould(sp?) growing in his downstairs bathroom. My question is how to get rid of it me and him were just gunna grab a couple masks and some sanders and go at it. The mould is on the drywall and I was wondering if this will work or will it simply grow back? do we need to take the whole wall down thxs

chances are you have mold growing inside your walls too and on the foundation , to be safe rip the drywall down and see if there is mold growing on cement. Or, if you don't want to be safe wipe with bleach.

Try Zepp Mold and Mildew remover from Home Depot. This stuff works very well but make sure you're in a well ventilated area.

The problem is likely larger than what you already see. We had that happen in our house shortly after we bought it, and it turned out to be a crack in the cement foundation that was allowing water into the walls. This fostered the growth of mold.
