Everyone has Black rims with a polished lip

This is really starting to bug me. this must be a trend or something. I got Black Rims with a polished lip 3 years ago. Now my car looks like every other import in Calgary. Has anyone else noticed this or am I just running into an unusual amount of people with this style of rim.

That is the way it always works... If you want to be unique, you always gotta stay ahead of the game and change your wheels out fairly frequently and take chances on unproven styles. If you stumble onto something hot, it is a guarantee that other will do the same thing as time marches on.

I have been saying for 3 years that black rims are gonna get hot and it has. That is because it does look good! If you want to be original, you just gotta pull out the wallet and do something that nobody else is yet...

Or buy really expensive wheels from a reputable brand that is not just a trend name and drive a car that is rarely modified (or modified properly)

I did the big wheels, lowered stock bodywork look 12 years ago (mostly because I was broke ass). Now it's called the "clean" look.

All my cars share that look still to this day heh.

seriously though, your wheels are 3 years old. Some people change them every 6 months... Just think that you were ahead of your time... If you keep them long enough, they will go out of style and you will be unique again.

That works really well. Everyone asks me now where I got my OZ Monte Carlos from, if they're specials from OZ. They're just fucking old... back in the mid 90's, every car had OZ monte carlos, they made 'em even in 14" sizes!
