I need to connect 3 xboxs and 4 computers to the internet and be able to network the 3 computers. Whats the easiest way to do this? I was told to buy a 4 port router then hook a switch to that. Can i buy a 8 port router? I only seem to see 8 port switches. What company makes the best routers?

Get two routers and daisy chain them together. D-Link makes good routers.

wireless you can network up to 255 computers together with a wireless router and wireless nics.

8 port switch, 4 port router. Can always upgrade to a 16 port or a 24 port later with no network changes needed.

30 dollar dlink router at mem express, and an 8 port dlink switch for 40. All PCs can see all the xboxes and all can get inet. Done like dinner. If you can find a 4 port switch used somewhere that would be cheaper too.

I'm about even between linksys and dlink for shit breaking or being unreliable. So I go with cheapest, less pain to toss and replace.
