The Calgary Wing Chun Academy is really good thats where I am right now. Very good instructors.
Its not the hand you're dealt it's how you play your cards.
where is the calgary wing chun society? Do I just drop by to register?
http://www.telusplanet.net/public/angusm/wingchun/
Give them a call and check it out.
They'll probly ask you to come in for a free private lesson to show you what its all about.

I met one of the instructors from the cultural centre one once. The guy was showing off to his gf and started doing some wing chun moves on me while I was just standing there enjoying my drink.
On one strike, he came a little too close, so I blocked and cut kicked him. Unfortunately he's an almost-midget, so I canned him rather than hitting his leg. The guy still felt it half an hour later.
In other news, the Wing Chun Acadamy on Macleod Trail with Sifu Brian is really good. Sifu's a super nice guy too.

but its not a bad schooll..
I've taken Kung Fu for years, the most notable being 5 years at the Wing Chun Academy with Sifu Brian Lewadny. I attained Level 7 status there, comparable to Black Belt for most martial arts, and I would say it was the best training I had ever received!
I had taken several Kung Fu classes at the Cultural Center in my younger past before, not necessarily Wing Chun, but they just don't give you the personal training as one would like to expect from a school. So both thumbs up to Wing Chun Kung Fu Academy.
And besides, Sifu Brian is one of the nicest guys I have ever met in my 22 years on this planet. Soft-spoken guy but definitely knows his stuff. Make the right choice and get the quality training one deserves! Good luck on your choice!
Tell him "Little Bruce Lee" sent you. Tell him I was the one who used to ride his mountain bike to class all the time. He should still remember me even though it's been nearly 6 years since I left.

Yeah I got some information at the cultural center, so it's 110 dollars for 8, 2 hour classes. The classes are on mondays from 6:30-8:30, and the instructor is Simon Siu.
