31, still huckin' car seats and strollers. Basically anything that needs to get done. Website? sure. Install a toilet? No problem. Hiring? Firing? Receiving? Shovel snow off the roof of an 18k sq.ft building due to roof leaks? Always.

Such is the life working in the family biz.

Not career, but temp work right now is night shift shop foreman at a large car rental company. Sometimes this just means breaking up fights between the unionized workforce because I'm the only management there at that time. Sometimes I'm helping the rental agents find in demand car types. Occasionally I'm yelling at people who are speeding.

It's actually quite busy, and two weeks into a 13 week contract, it's not boring at all strangely. That place moves in, cleans and moves out around 400 cars a day through the summer. I guess that means they rent that same number. It's crazy volume.

Guess I could update mine as well...
Was doing Leasing for a Real Estate Developer and now working for a family business where I rent/lease full service offices. (Business Centre) Two locations Downtown so it keeps us busy.

Officially refocused on rejoining the corporate rat race. Will leave the running of the company to the guys on the team. I'm so much happier as an employee.

Anyone looking for an experienced petroleum engineer, let's meet for coffee.

About to turn 30. Power Engineer. Was in tank farm ops for a few years but managed to switch to process ops last year. This is all at a large oil sands site.
    Looking around
    Wondering what became
    Of what I once knew

23, 2.5 years into being a drafter/designer... not team lead though haha... 4 people would have to die/retire/quit before i even had a shot... but that fine with me. youngest in the department by at least 10 years
Ha... how life changes. My health really started to deteriorate, when I was 27 I was getting probably 3-4 migraines a week, barely getting to the office by noon most days. Tried to arrange working from home since my whole team was in salt lake by then... didn’t fly, quit. Took a year off, focused on my health, both physical and mental. Big part of my mental health was finally ending it with the ex.

Now I’m a year into a new career, a month away from turning 31. Been licensed in mortgages for a year now, mostly focusing on fulfillment and business development for an established broker while slowly building my own book of business. Have put together more loans than the average broker does in 5 years cause of this relationship. Have learned a ton, like that everyday is a new challenge and probably more creative problem solving than design ever had. Still get the odd migraine, but probably only once a month or so. Lots of life rebuilding to do, but it’s worth it

27 - I pretend to be an engineer. But mostly I just make pretty powerpoints and charts.
