    Default FS: CPU/Motherboard/Ram

    Selling the following:

    - AthalonXP 1800+ 266MHz FSB
    - EPoX 8KHA+ KT266A motherboard
    - 512MB PC2700 DDR RAM

    First $130 takes it.

Or... take it with a AthalonXP 2400+ instead for $170.

    PM or post here.

He says either a 1800+ or a 2400+ depending on price.

The 2400+ is equivalent to a P4 2.4GHz, and an 1800+ is a bit faster than a P4 1.8GHz machine. The fastest processor out there right now will run games a bit more than twice as fast as the 2400+ will, but then again... it costs $1000 for just the processor (Athalon 64 FX-55 @ MemEx is ~$1050). The cheapest new CPU you can get that's around the same performance is the 2600+, but that's $130 + GST for just the processor... add a motherboard and some RAM and you'll be over $300 for sure.

This is a great upgrade kit for anyone looking to make a blazing fast computer for email and/or porn. It's fast for gaming as well, but that's really dependent on what you have for a video card. I'm on the 2400+ and a 9800Pro right now and I haven't had any games slow down yet.

Come on, it's a great price
