Wasn't really concerned about price when I went there because we got 50% off....I am simply saying that the food was nowhere near the quality you were paying when comparing it to other restaurants. Everything at this place was mediocre at best for the type of place it is.Originally posted by rage2
If you're concerned about price/value, it's not the restaurant for you. You're not going to Ruth's looking for quantity for the money, but quality. You're dropping at least $120-140/person on a good dinner there such as this:
1. Wyborowa
2. Ahi tuna
3. Calimari
4. US Filet Blue Rare
5. Sweet Potato Casserole
6. Creme Brulee
That's my perfect meal right there. Don't think I've ever had an off day. It's been consistent since day 1 for me.
If you want value, my parents love Reef and Beef in Rundle. You'll be shitting beef for 2 days eating there, at $40/person.
I agree completely with the creme brulee though, that is the only thing I would go back for that stood out.
Charcut or Q Haute
The one place i'd pick to eat, would be at home because I can make whatever I want.
Only reason I mentioned it was because I had lunch there with rage2, kenny and mibz. rage2 had a short, dark, curly hair (you can draw your own conclusion as to what it was) in his food.Originally posted by Weapon_R
This has to be one of the worst restaurants I can remember in recent memory. Completely empty but service sucked, food was expensive, and I can't even remember anything memorable about the meal at all.
IIRC it was kenny's suggestion to go there!
A buddy of mine and his wife would go there EVERY year for Valentines Day.Originally posted by rage2

They like the food (for what it is) but even better was the people watching.
Rednecks in their finest Wranglers and cleanest t-shirt gettin' all fancied up for their special lady friend.
He said one more than a few occasions you would see one get down on one knee and propose. With a number of tables clapping and hooting and hollering after her response.
Muse, River Cafe, Rush.
I know you only said one, but I let my other personalities choose too.

I used to go fairly often for lunch but have stopped going.

Quality has always been consistently good. Portion sizes and price are reasonable too.

This. I could eat the garlic potatoes until my stomach exploded!!!!!
When you go to MBA or Gee Gong what are you supposed to order? I've been to both with some white friends and we never know what to get, so whatever we do end up getting all tastes the same (read: bland). I want some real Chinese food that a Chinese person would eat. What I've tried at both of those places would make me think that Chinese people just like eating paper.
Charcut
Their chicken sandwiches are meh but their half chickens are amazing. Extra spices with some potato wedgesOriginally posted by Dumbass17
