Yeah, but are they actually going to ENFORCE that this year? I could've sworn there were at least a couple races last year where by my math HRT didn't make it, and yet there they were on the starting grid on sunday.
The stewards have the ability to allow them to race anyway. They used that ability a couple times last year, you're right. However, HRT didn't race in Australia last year and they won't be racing in Australia this year.Originally posted by Inzane

I imagine they're going to need some dramatic results to stick around much longer.
i am happy vettel is nowhere near the top

My bad, on ITV vs Sky, I read enough UK F1 websites I should remember that Sky has it this year.Originally posted by rage2
Coulthard is on BBC. TSN carried the BBC feed last night.
Sky has Brundle, and someone that has no clue WTF is going on, where Brundle corrects him. And the pit reporters are damn hot on Sky haha.
So what happens for the races that BBC doesn't have the rights to broadcast live for? From what I have read they will do all the races, but many will be tape delay. Where Sky will have all live, but Sky is pay vs. BBC free to air in the UK.
Long story short, what happens for us? We get BBC live before the UK does?
I watched the sky feed and the show was pretty brutal. They had Hill, Brundle and Davidson but overall the delivery was horrible..
BBC > ITV > SKY
i enjoyed the sky commercials

That sucks that Sky is PPV, and still have commercials.

ITV was brutal.
Whoever was doing commentary had no clue what was going on.
That was more bush league than Speed.
^^ James Allen was doing commentary with Brundle on ITV. He is now the interviewer for the official press conferences. I thought he was great, much better than the first BBC dude and now this idiot from SKY.... And he certainly knows what he's talking about, been working F1 since 1990.
replay on now

Whats with the ITV stuff? F1 finished on ITV years ago, BBC sold pretty much all of the rights to SKY because they had budget cuts.
Sky television will broadcast all practice and qualifying sessions and every race live on a dedicated pay TV Formula One channel in Britain, though the action will be broadcast in HD and without adverts.
The 10 races shown live on BBC One and BBC HD will be: China (15 April), Spain (13 May), Monaco (27 May), Europe (24 June), Britain (8 July), Belgium (2 September), Singapore (23 September), Korea (14 October), Abu Dhabi (4 November) and Brazil (25 November). There will be extended highlights programmes on BBC One of the other 10, of either 90-minute or two-hour duration depending on the location of the race.
Ben Edwards took over Martin Brundle's position and Brundle pissed off to Sky because they offered him mega bucks, 30 quid a month to watch F1 on Sky, pissed off a lot of F1 fans back in the UK.
TSN had the BBC feed and I think it will be the BBC feed all season.

Nice 2nd for Vettel! Was a bit worried about the RB8 when it was a 5-6 quali. Hamilton was looking like his normal douche self on the podium.

Haha, Hamilton's grumpiness was almost as funny as Maldonado's last second realization of "Wait a second, I'm a Williams driver, I can't score points!".
^ I felt so bad for him! He was what, 5 turns or less away?

I love how they compared pedal travel to qualifying for Petrov.
Got the live timing app for android this year, it is amazing! I found myself looking at the phone quite a few times during the race since the tv coverage on TSN was lacking (imo). No pre show coverage at all either, they tuned in just as the race was starting. Speed didnt even show the race live? I havent been paying enough attention, whats the best way to watch this year? Im on Shaw and I didnt see any coverage other than tsn.
LOL, I love how they didn't play any radio for Hamilton at the end.
Speed shows the race live if you have US version of Speed. I flip between TSN and Speed US to minimize commercial time. This year I've also setup a 2nd TV for live timing using that app.
Awesome app, shows tires, best sector times, gap and interval, purples... worked so well for everyone.
