That's a solid power gain!
That's a solid power gain!
Nearly doubled stock horsepower. Cam and heads would put it over 400whp for sure, but I'm capping this project at 3 grand.
Should I volunteer the wagon to get whooped again? Great numbers!
I like neat cars.
Got some bigger rotors and calipers, hawk pads, and spindles off a dude with an 88GT that switched to 5lug. This pile stops way better now.
Before
After
Also replaced the shocks in the rear, car feels way better. The ground gives better traction than air.
Fuck it, ordered front struts too and changed them.
Also picked up some 87-93 tails for 30 bucks. I like the 85/86 tails better but mine were too busted up.
And tonight I relocated my IAT sensor. The stock Ford sensor responds slowly and is in a real shitty spot prone to heatsoak, giving falsely hot IATs.
Added in a fast responding GM sensor in the charge pipe where it belongs.
Have the launch dialed in nice and consistent on street tires. Not hoping for miracles but a 1.9 60ft would be nice on these tires. I mounted up my slicks also, but weather fucked me this last weekend so didn't get to race.
Also cranked out a ghetto cupholder. Going to daily this all summer, need my morning coffee more secure.

Oh, what are you running for a diff? Stock 8.8?
Yeah stock 8.8 with a worn out traklok and awful stock 2.87s.
It could use some 3.27s or 3.31s.
I have an extra 8.8 with some 3.73s if you really want to blow the tires off!
If you snap axles with the slicks, I think I have at least 4-6 extras if you want them. I may have an extra t-lok too...can always just do the super cheap repack with extra frictions to tighten things up a bit.
Took the glitter bomb to a no prep asphalt strip today, got 3 runs in. Stock gears kinda worked, was just tagging limiter in third as I went through the beams. Shit 60ft though, these tires went 1.73 in the M5 which weighs 1000lbs more, but that was at Castrol with prep.
12.9@97mph (laid over in third, overboost and it pulled timing)
12.78@113mph
12.69@111mph (dropped tire pressure, lost mph but better et)
Nice...there’s a lot of ET left to drop after you get some better 60 foots!
Yeah it needs gears and a castrol trip. 2.0-1.9 is the best you can hope for there unless you have AWD
Did you happen to catch what the GT350R did mph in the 1/2?
And good runs, traction was tough there. Even awd cars were 1.8
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of the human mind to correlate all its contents... some day the piecing together of dissociated knowledge will open up such terrifying vistas of reality, and of our frightful position therein, that we shall either go mad from the revelation or flee from the light into the peace and safety of a new Dark Age."

Nice mph!
For comparison, my 5L did 12.62, at 108, with a 1.72 60'.
That was at 6psi (blower), making 318whp/340tq on a mustang dyno.
I'm guessing you'll be low 12's with a good launch.

Nah the board wasn't working so if you wanted times you had to either hover over James running timing or ask the guy what he ran lol. Sounded nasty though. That white stickshift duster with the vortech blower is still probably my favourite car that comes out to these. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Not to high jack but I heard the white Trackhawk went 10.4@131! Most are aware of his crazy Porsche as well but that is moving for an SUV!
I like neat cars.
Yeah lol. Stupid new cars are so fast off the showroom. That's why I supercharged the M5, just so it wouldn't get walked by a 335i with bolt ons.
Function check: still does good burnouts
