I took it to the hitchshop this morning and it indeed did not have any wiring for a brake controller (disappointing), so its now costing me $400 to get it wired and installed today. Hoping to pickup our new trailer tonight, and park it on the driveway for the next few days until we go camping on thursday morning. The neighbor around the corner seems to have the exact same trailer parked on his driveway all summer long.
I also need to get a couple of those curb ramps to get up on to my driveway.
The other thing highlanders dont have that toyota 4runners and tundra's seem to have is a nice model fitted towing mirrors, I had to buy those ratchet ones. So this trailer comes with "sway bars" but the owner said that you need to play with how loose or tight they are depending on your driving style, I would of thought sway bars would be just a solid piece of metal - and these things mount underneath and come with some special hitch, which makes me think its more of a WD hitch / sway combo. He also had mounted a brake cable (dead man switch) to his brakes so that if the chains fail to the car and the wire gets pulled taut then the electric brakes would come on. However he said this could be dangerous if something made the cable come taut with the chains on, like a tight turn. Do you guys have this?
