Plus we got lucky on SARS. Nobody knew WTF happened and it just went away.

The fact that SARS got as bad as it did was Chinese government cover up. The frequent reporting to WHO is actually a good change from Chinese gov.

While most are avoiding China, Chinese is still the no 1 tourist group in Japan and the world is going to meet there this summer.

SARS did not subside until July 2004. So the best we can hope for is this thing disappear as quickly before the games starts.
