Did a full paint correction last week, about 12 hours of work with the DA polisher.
Got the entire front end wrapped in PPF (full hood, full fenders, a-pillars, front of roof, side mirrors and front bumper)
Then did a full Graphene P2 coating over the entire vehicle.
Sitting at 17,000 kms now, she's a true cream puff
Super happy with how it sits as I'm finished doing everything I wanted to this car.

Show QuoteI really like the 32 valve M119 engine in this car, of course it is not quite as powerful as the E55 but once it gets moving it goes pretty good. I bought with 140k on the clock, 70k when imported and it has been really well cared for. There are a couple C55's for sale but are repaired status and too much money imo. When I worked at Lonestar I drove both C32 and C43, I liked the CLK430 better hahThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Machining, Fabricating, Welding etc.
It's all about the old German cars now. Like old times, SMG is so unique of a driving experience. I kinda miss it.

That is not a Ford Flex, unfortunately.
I miss mine also. 06, carbon black with SMG. I fantasize about picking one up, but I know it won't be the same.

I like manual steering… not in parking lots or with violent countersteering when the wheel tries to remove fingers… but yeah, I like itThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Drum brakes, no. Manual steering, yes. A good buddy of mine had a scirocco in high school with manual steering, that thing was a hoot. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Drum rear brakes are better for doing sick j turns with the ebrake
My brother had a 1982 320iS when I was in high school. Red, 5spd, with gold mesh wheels, no power steering. Fuckin awesome, I miss that thing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I used to wake up early just to steal it to go to school with it.
