I'm with you except for the highly flammable plastic film placed directly under the gas-fired, open flame appliance.

Umm coffee table hot pot seems like a candidate for hot soup splash on balls?
I'm noticing that water is leaking through a gap between the fascia and my gutter. I have to go up and check but what are some ways to ensure the water is going from the roof to the gutter, and not in-between?

Do you mean between the soffit and gutter? Post pics. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
This shouldn't happen if two things are done properly. The eavestrough is tight against the fascia board but this can get loose over time and the shingles hang enough over the eavestrough to direct rain properly. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If you have issues with either of these you may need to get 90 degree tin to put under the shingles and redirect into the eavestrough. I have to do this with pretty much everyone of mine this year cause its bad.
Is your eave trough full of water?
Checked it out today and looks like I inherited a “previous owner special” so have to redo work in the spring roflThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They just installed the gutter over this weird trim
That may be fine. The key thing is that the shingles are cut long enough, with enough overhang that ALL the roof water ends up in the gutters. And then that the gutters are sloped correctly and sealed at their joints. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ah I see gotcha. When it’s nicer out and not icy, I’ll go up and check it out. Maybe do what @firebane has to do with the tinThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I picked it up at Rona and it comes in 10 feet lengths. It cuts super easy so if you to cut it down take some tin snips
Replaced a sink drain in bathroom. After only 5 years the threaded part completely rusted and it fell apart. Wtf.
I replaced a whole tap and drain plug after 6 months of use, wouldn't get any pressure. Don't buy Danze from Canadian tire lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

@Ekliptix how is the drum secured to this hoist? Could it be removed to attach the hoist to a shaft, much like a garage door opener? I need to make a shelf to store the kids quad/dirt bike/snowmobile.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
