I'd like to know more about this aside from the biased CBC view. What are your thoughts on the City of Kelowna forcing the eviction of this homeowner and demolishing his house?

Likely facts:
1. Probably about the worst neighbour you could ever have.
2. Appearance of property & yard likely completely unacceptable and has been for at least 8 years.
3. Owner is almost certainly crazy and stupid.
4. Series of serious government notifications ignored by owner for years.
Other things to consider:
A. Professional Engineer's report indicates dwelling isn't structurally unsafe. How can they demo his house without dealing with that, first? If their argument is that they can knock his house over because it's ugly and half-assed, should they be able to knock it over?
B. The City granted him more than one building permit for him to address previous citations and then they revoked those permits saying "Yo, you should have told us that we already told you we are going to knock your house over. You're not allowed to fix it now." The City has an obligation to know what The City told him. It's not his fault that their right hand doesn't know what their left hand is doing.
C. Would the government treat an illegal squatter this harshly? I doubt it.
D. How shitty is your "lawyer" if he has an Engineering report stating that the house isn't unsafe and he still can't prevent The City from evicting a property owner (not a renter) and then bulldozing that owner's house and then handing the owner the bulldozer invoice?
E. How crooked is The City that actions this severe are being pushed through?
F. When will this happen to JabJab?
