I had a similar issue. I have ended up using HDMI over ethernet. Works great with 4k 4:4:4 signal! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

On my own dime/time I threw in a 2" conduit from the receiver and rack space to the TV, should be no cable issues there.
I need a receiver ASAP, mostly for the 4k pass through Dolby Atmos would be nice as well.
*Bump*
I'm getting my basement developed and had one room pre-wired for a 5.1.2 (Atmos) setup with either in/on wall speakers and a couple of in-ceilings, and a floor sub.
Other than the HDMI, the rest are just the raw cable ends sticking out of the walls that need terminating. Possibly looking to get a Denon AVR X1700H (with Audyssey) for a receiver, and LCR speakers in the $200-300 range, so nothing too high end.
Anyone got any reco's for an affordable independent installer?
I've gotten quotes ranging from $700 to over $1200 just for the installation, and of course, they want to sell you a lot of the gear as well.
