What in the blue fuck. Crazy pursuit. I wonder how fast they're going at certain points, plus you can see the truck fishtailing as he goes through the town.
They start trying to take him out at 11:00

only took 3 times to PIT him. The first attempt was a pretty big fail too.

I'm surprised that they would try to PIT him with so many people around. Also surprised at how many cops had intersections prepped with cars stopping traffic during the chase. Calgary made the right decision to stop high speed chases like this.

well, in their defense they were waiting for traffic to clear up before attempting a PIT. The second attempt there was 1 car in the oncoming lanes, the other 2 times, there was no traffic or pedestrians.Originally posted by rage2

What I am surprised about though, is all the traffic that was stopped by cruisers at intersections. You would have thought that once of those cops would have deployed spike strips at one of those intersections...

It feels like that chase should have ended with bullets.

Yep, in Calgary they just call up the Hawks and problem solved. Surprised these guys didn't do the same and followed him with a police chopperOriginally posted by rage2

Signature..... I ate it!!
Me too. With all the little police outfits in the states buying all these military toys you would think they would have airwolf or something.Originally posted by ICEBERG

In the US, well mostly in Cali, the choppers are used for video feeds for the news if it's a slow news day.Originally posted by ICEBERG

This wasnt a chase, it was a taunt by the baddy. Police here (RCMP) tend to know better.
Unless hes a mass murderer, this chase would have not lasted anywhere near as long here - even without air support.
The biggest difference is that if it happened here nobody would have pulled off the road for the policeOriginally posted by rage2

Suicide turn lanes make for great police chases though! Damn they were handy for the cops haha

That was intense!
Yeah I was gonna say - if that happened here, all the cars would've slammed their brakes in the middle of the road right in the way of all the police cars at the first sound of the sirens....Originally posted by J-D

I was waiting for that to happen. Alas, only in Calgary.Originally posted by avishal26

I was on a CPS ridealong once, and going to a priority call, it was astonishing seeing how long people were taking to move over. Even with changing the siren tones and leaning on the airhorn, each car was literally taking a full 3-4 seconds to move over.
I'd get frustrated pretty damn fast.
One guy even slammed on his brakes when he heard the airhorn behind him, and we were like 3 feet from his bumper. We didn't hit him, but needless to say, the cop was pissed.
I thought that was because the rear tires were still spinning on the truckOriginally posted by shakalaka

Honda/Acura guy
Perhaps, I didn't really notice. Just though tit was dangerous for that one cop that was standing right over as he had to move out of the way.
