there is a hole in the left side of the speaker, it is clearly shown in the second picture
doesn't look like it man.
You might be better off buying a new one.
Or try warranty.
i called A&B sound and they said there nothing they can do. I totally understand this, but i didnt ever really push my speakers at all!! i am serious, i havent even had these for long enough to have a chance to crank them up. I just noticed that the sound was a little fuzzy today, so i pulled off the cover and found the hole.
The guy at A&B sound told me to put some silicon to seal the hole. Has anyone tried this?
man that makes me scared.
Cuz I got some JL's too.
buh_buh.what kind did u get? xr series? these are not suppose to blow that easily!!
i am wondering if mine came with the hole!! cause i have seriously not even come close to turning up the volume very high...i am soo pissed off, but i guess there is nothing i can do...
i just hope i can some how repair them so that they sound decent
I got the VR525 Csi
Yea, I thought they would be pretty durable.
Now I'm gonna think twice before turning up my stereo.
how much did yours cost?? where did u buy them?
is it common for speakers to be blown where mine did? i wouldve thought the speakers would normally be blown in the middle part and not on the outside rubber edge.
I paid $300 for them at A&B Sound.
how r u liking them? i wonder how big of a difference there is between XR and VR
They're better than my stock blown speakers! hahaha.
I'm kinda scared tho, cuz I'm starting to hear a slight slight crackling in my passenger front speaker.
And I've had them in for less than a week.
i started to hear that, then i ignored it, and when i decided to take a look at my speaker, it had a fucking hole!!
be careful!! i wish you the best of luck with your speakers!
daaammmnnn.
what the hell
ive had them for 3 days!!!!
im scared now.
just think twice about turning the volume up for the next little while....

take your cover or door panel off and check your wires, sounds like one is not connected fully.
so do i have any hope of making my speakers sound decent?
with a hole in em.......maybe try silicone, but I doubt it. The crackling on bub_bub's is probably the speaker wire.
do speakers usually blow where mine blew?? could it be defective cause i seriously havent turned these speakers up. I have turned up my stock speakers way more than these.
the speaker looks to be blown on the rubber surround. i don't think that kind of a hole would result because u were turning them up too loud. it looks like someone poked it.
Built not Bought.
