Hey,
Some piece of shit just left a 1ish foot long key mark on my car...can anyone recommend a shop that'd make it look like it never happened? (I know touch up paint would work but I dont want it to be noticeable at all)

How deep is it? Can you feel it with your nail if you were to pass over it? Can you get pictures?

Not very deep, you can barely feel it with a nail. Pic: Thanks guys.
Thats pretty tough to do with out repainting. It looks like the scratch is only in the clear though. You could try and wetsand the car and buff it out, but you risk thinning your clear. As long as the scratch doesn't look like the base coat then you could try buffing it out. Obviously the best way would be to take it to a body shop where they could sand it down and re shoot the clear.
EDIT: Heres another test. Close your eyes and run your nail over the paint. Don't push down very hard, but can you hear a click when your nail passes over?

I dont hear a click but I definately feel it and its a bit bumpy...I live in a fairly noisy area though so itd be hard to actually hear a click until late tonight (ill try again late tonight though)
The more you pay the better quality.
Dont do it yourself cos youll probably cause more damage.
What theyll probably do is.
take the scratch down with 180-320
then spot prime it.
ill gaurantee youll burn through the base coat.
bring it to my shop if you want
Concours collision.
i honestly dont know if they overcharge or not becuase i dont do estimates but i know they do quality work.
pm me for more info if you want
