lol i was looking at that bike on kijiji a few minutes ago. Is that you selling it, or is that the seller's ad?
Also how do you find the 600cc being new'ish to bikes?
I'm going to be starting right off with a 600, I'm a bit apprehensive...
600f4i is a good transition bike. lower seating position than the RR lets you get more of your foot down if you are short. also the seating position is less aggressive so you are more sitting in the bike then on top of it. i wanted to get an f4i but just didn't work out and got a great deal on the RR
Tap, Rack, BANG!
I would be getting an aggressive bike from the get go since I know I would want one really quickly after if I didn't...
Since I'm paying for school and a bike I can't justify getting one then having to replace it so quickly...
How much bike is an rr really?
Not like it's a 1000cc which is just bonkers from what I hear.
btw..that old school honda and the ducati...I mean seriously...kinda jelly...

I wouldn't say it's much bike at all. It may be a little bit scary at first but I'm sure you'll get used to it very quickly and still be able to enjoy it for a while, unlike a 250 which gets boring in the first week.Originally posted by ekguy

I bought a 600rr last month and sold it yesterday because of how gutless and boring it was (it also had a number of performance upgrades). But my last bike was a modded 955.
We stopped checking for monsters under our beds when we realized they were inside us.
The 250 is a fun bike to ride. It handles pretty well although straight line acceleration is lacking but riding in a straight line is boring IMO no matter the bike
I know of a '99 R6 with a new engine & new plastics (wanted aftermarket pre-painted fairing). Lady owned, I guess she's just bored of riding it. I've never seen it but she was telling me about it at a Restaurant parking lot when she saw me pull up on my D675. She said it was all black with ghost flames, which sounds pretty coolOriginally posted by ekguy

She only wants $3k for it. It seems to be a damn good bike from what she said. She wasn't sure of the KM's, but apparently its in very nice shape. Let me know if you're interested, and I'll give you her number.
Id post an ad in the marketplace here, but I dont have pics of it so I wont until I get some.
EDIT: and to answer your question, an RR is a very boring bike. A buddy has an '05, and wow I hated it. SO boring to ride (to me at least, you may enjoy it), no mid-range at all, just.... Only above 10k does it really come to life, but I hate having to rev a bike that high just to get some giddy-up from the engine, while on the streets.
He's selling it also, he wants $3k-3,500 or so for it. I think it has 20k kms on it. Flat black, it needs new tires & battery but asides from that its a dandy bike, runs like a top.
We fired it up a few weeks ago, and it started right up and ran great. It was a great bike for him, but he upgraded to an '10 R1, so he has that 600 left now that he wants to sell.
Again PM me for his contact info.

I'm buying in the spring. Right now every spare dollar I have is for university. I'm more thinking I'll be using my bonus to just buy one. Get my bonus in June
Nice to know the RR isn't too much of a bike. Just want something fun but still somewhat fast as my first road bike.
I got an 2007 kawasaki ninja zx6r for a first bike i love it
Meet tonight!
Location: Deerfoot Mall Parking lot! (the blocked off part)
Time: 6 pm
Reason: Meet, greet and ride around town!
<(^(Oo)^)>
This thread hasn't been bumped in a while so I though that I'd post some of my bikes from 2012.
I even bought a Hyosung gt250r for a few months for when I had hand surgery and wasn't able to control a full sized bike (now that shows love of riding, haha)

Your bike and my current bike are pretty much twins Modelexis, just mine's the fat twin. I've got an 03 R1 in the same color scheme. Still trying to convince the wife I should be allowed to sell it this year to buy something newer...we shall see.
PS...don't leave your helmet on the seat...lol.

Here is my Monster S2R1000 as it sits now...
And this is my 1978 Honda CX500. My dad bought this bike brand new in 78, and we put well over 50,000 miles (not KM's) on it traveling everywhere from Alaska down to Texas with me on the back. Great memories as a kid! Before he passed he gave the bike to me and told me to do whatever I wanted with it. Since I would not really use a full dresser, I stripped it down, did a bunch of mods (thanks Brent Morrison for all you did for me as well on it!), and this is where it sits now...
The before............
And the now..........
Can't wait to ride again. ughhh
The F4i
The Intruder

Nonsense. You've all got slanty eyes, play Starcraft, speak Chinese and eat nothing but sushi and ginger beef.
DON'T TRY AND CONVINCE ME OTHERWISE
^ Whats up with the "Super Gay" in the first pic? just below the front of the seat.
The "no fat chix" I get near the rear seat, but "Super Gay"?
