I see a lot less new civics/corollas/jettas/golf/sentras on the road now than I did 10 years ago. With the choices available today with the smaller SUVs (kicks/soul/rav4/crv/hrv/rogue/qashqai/cx3 etc.) I'm not really surprised to see the some manufacturers step out of that small/mid size vehicle space.
My girlfriend had a 2010 Nissan Sentra with the 2.0 and CVT trans. Got her out of that and into a 2006 Honda CRV with the 2.0 and non CVT trans and she enjoys it WAY more. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
E-brake on, turn key to engine off then back on. (if you do it quick enough the engine doesn't actually die). This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

SUV domination of the market is real and manufacturers have much larger margins on these. Similar to housing, you don't need 2000sqft+ to raise two kids but its nice have...similar trend carries to cars. Easy credit helps too.
For me, if I'm to drive a vehicle that's only to serve purpose of transportation i.e. no nostalgia, dream-car, fun...then its electric.
I recently saw a review of Hyunda Kona Electric...400km+ of range, $40-50k CAD. The torque for daily driving would be amazing.
Yup. Look at Nissan's lineup that covers so many sizes. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Im certainly a Fiesta ST/RS follower - but only the 3 door version which we will never see here. Hot hatches are not promoted here. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Their sales numbers for Canada shows SUVs outselling cars (even though they included the Qashqai as a car) by a fair amount. Same goes with Infiniti. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
