Saw a 2016 AMG GT-S for just under $100k listed today, claimed clean Carfax. Don’t remember seeing those under $100k before.
What should a 2019 RS5 sport back go for?? Thinking about grabbing one in the next few months. Saw a few posted for $66k
That is interesting. I like that car. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Been going back and forth on whether to buyout and sell my leased 4Runner early.. actual expiry is in November and have a deposit down on a Land Cruiser.
I will be able to buyout and sell the vehicle for ~$20-30k plus on top of the buyout... but the question is how much difference will the next ~8 months make on the used car market value?
I would also have to then buy something to get me through the next X months until the LC arrives... so likely something not as nice, and its value would also go down. If its less than 5k difference it seems like a lot of hassle..
Its a TRD Pro in Army Green, so definitely more limited in production numbers and I would think more desirable than your average OffRoad/SR5, so Id think it would be an easy sale.
Sounds like a stack of work for little gain. 4R have never lost significant value and wouldn’t expect much loss of value given spec prior to LC arrival. Unless liquidity is required, you are introducing risk with a junker until LC arrivalThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Adding an extra transaction into this situation is not going to be a winning choice. Sell the current vehicle when you have the new vehicle "in hand" unless you already own enough vehicles to get by for several months.

When I got mine, I think I paid around 110K for it out the door and that's one car I did okay on when I got rid of it and made about 15K. But yea now they are coming back down and a part of me always missed my AMG GTS so I have thought about getting one again. Likely not though focusing on different things for the next couple of years before I get something proper again and until then M3 gotta cut it.
^"Likely"...
How do you like the M3?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Ya M3 vs AMG GT lets hear it (Im aware they are two different kinds of cars)
I received a call from a Canadian dealer on a GT3 with 10 klms, saying the person who ordered it backed out due to changes in his financial situation. It wasn't at MSRP, but it was the lowest price I've been offered a new GT3 in 4 years.
Shit is definitely changing

The best way I can put it is, the M3 feels like an everyday car that is fast as fuck.
GTS felt like a bit of a more special car that was also fast as fuck.
I feel like you could have both in the garage and the two cars are different enough and suit different purposes enough to justify having both at the same time if that makes sense. But if you could only have one car then the M3 is a better overall option to have.
The tech, refinement, smoothness etc. is miles better in the M3 but my AMG was a 2016 so not sure how the newer ones are and with M3 being brand new at 2024 that part is not quite a fair comparison.
At the end of the day the GTS feels more 'exotic' in terms of looks and the emotional feeling it gives you because of the way it looks, but the M3 is a better car in pretty much every other way.
Let's just put it this way, if I wanted to continue fucking around with cars at this time then I would want something other than M3 and something more exotic (even more so than the GTS), but if you gotta stick to one car for a few years that will do everything well then there aren't that many better options out there than the M3 (but it lacks in invoking that visceral/emotional feeling that a more exotic looking car would bring to a person).
