Just buy a Tesla with ludicrous mode. If you don’t care about handling and just light to light blasts, it’s by far the most fun car in the city. Once you get bored of that you’re SOL.

I’m assuming you don’t care about handling because you’re willing to go from 440i to 440i haha.

A proper high hp rwd car in the winter will be anything but boring

But seriously... the e90 m3 is the most perfect winter car I have owned, they’re just so well balanced that it’s incredibly controllable even with all the nannies turned off

I actually thought about a Tesla but two things are main deal breakers. No exhaust note and limited mileage. I drive all around remote Alberta at times and for circuit courts and most of these places don’t have charging stations.

If you can hang on for another couple years, you can get a nice early TVR Sagaris in 2019 I think. If it doesn’t kill you first, I doubt you’ll get bored.

i think its time to get yourself a diesel truck.

look, you get the exhaust noise you want, the ability to hit up remote as fuck alberta, it has a turbo so it sounds cool and the motherfuckers have so much torqqqqqque

they got everything you want inside and the ability to haul a small village

theres nothing more 'berta than a diesel truck

    i rest my case

I think a Raptor is up your alley honestly. 86k or so loaded.

Another option is a loaded F150 with the new 5L and ford Performance supercharged option.

Fully warrantied and 640hp 600tq. That is actually something that’s caught my interest lately.

I disagree with the last 3 posters. Yes the exhaust note and turbo sounds awesome, obnoxious and super alberta douchey, the 1 tons suspension is just the shits.

Even if you swap out the suspension, you would have to research the one that is the least uncomfortable. My truck without weight in it is just pure garbage.

Also, I hate trucks so there's that. If they are swaying you to a truck decision, come drive mine and then decide. It's got a 4 inch lift with 33s, nothing crazy.

Sorry guys I was in Montreal for a few days so didn't get chance to read the posts here. Some very interesting suggestions, especially the truck ones. Perhaps that is something I should think about a little more seriously. I do like the look of the either a lifted truck or a Jeep Wrangler but don't imagine they are much fun to drive. Anyway, as an update I am gonna pass the 440 M Performance Coupe. Ultimately like some of you said spending that much on what is essentially another 4 series does not make much sense plus my guy is simply not able to bring the negative equity down to where I am okay with it so I am not willing to take the hit even though it is still less than anywhere else. I listed the car for a private lease take over to see if it goes but if it doesn't I still have the option of switching into something more expensive like a M car without negative equity in June. So I guess we will have to wait and see even though it sucks having to keep it since I am bored already lol.

For straightline highway driving, diesel trucks are actually pretty good. They have a ton of torque so they feel fast and pass with ease. I have a modified and lowered 2500 Duramax...it moves well and gets a long term fuel consumption average in the 10L/100 km range (mostly highway driving).

I haven’t gotten bored of it but I always had a project to work on or drive now that it’s done.

Jeep wranglers are shit on the highway. Lots of wind noise and hardly any sound insulation, also pigs on gas because they are a box on wheels.

I would look at a Denali HD with the duramax if you really want a truck. They also hold value well if they are not beaten up.

Wrangler is fun for ten days a year when you take the doors off. Brutal every other day. An Ariel atom is more practical.

2 hours in the new wrangler gave me and the wife back spasms. Horribly dissapointing.

My vote for SUV is the Tahoe Z71 Midnight Black edition. Gorgeous truck.
