Well, MemX just called, my new AMD 5800x is ready for pickup, so that's good news. I literally just need a video card now.
As a stop gap, anyone maybe have an old one they would be willing to loan or sell me?

Might want to check and see if your mobo disables any SATA ports when you use an M.2 slot. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Running an ASUS Prime X470 Pro with a R7 2700x, that's a good point. Did the swap over the weekend and it doesn't look like I've lost any drives. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Oddly though, I didn't have to go into BIOS to switch the boot order over to the M.2 slot, just unplugged the old boot SSD, plugged in the M.2 one and it just booted right into Windows. Not sure what to think about that, every board I've had up to that point needed me to set the boot order.
My old stop-gap/backup Asus GTX650TI-1GB is sitting if you wanna use it for now. May be a little too old for your liking, but it works perfectly. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Hey, for now, ANYTHING would be a big help. I would be very appreciative too if I could borrow/buy it. I am not looking to mine or anything with it, I just want to get the new rig setup and the minecraft server running for the kids. I can wait for my own gaming until I get my actual GPU.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Most often what happens is the SATA ports aren't disabled but your PCI slots start to share bandwidth or the M2 drive will drop to SATA speeds. This is how your board works in that regard:This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
*1 The PCIe x16_3 slot shares bandwidth with PCIe x1_1 and PCIe x1_3
*2 The M.2_2 socket shares PCIe clock with PCIe x1_1. When PCIe x1_1 or PCIe x1_3 is occupied, the M.2_2 socket can only support SATA mode.
LOL i doubt it will mine anything, and even if you did, meh... its my stop-gap backup anyways. All yours to use till you get your actual one! Hit me up!This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I was going to take you up on this, but, while I was picking up the 5800x, I saw they had some POS geforce GT710 on the shelf, so I snagged one of those for $70. Figured it would be good as a backup and would get me started on getting the rest of this build setup and running. The kids are excited for a minecraft server. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I haven't built a PC in like 20-ish years, to say I am nervous is an understatement. There are so many headers on this board, I don't understand what half of them do or how to use them LOL!

No 3060's at launch. Just backorder again. Sigh
Welp. I bough a series x. See you in a few years for a new build.
Wonder if I can add RGB..
Just bought one from SE locationThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The pricing on these is crazy. You can get a 3060TI for the same or less in some cases. There is a pretty significant difference in performance too. I would put your name down for a 3060TI instead. My two cents. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They only let you backorder one gpu total so I kept my 3060ti order. Just no idea when it'll show upThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I stopped by SE and they said they only got four 3060's so no luck there
Why is there a Borg cube on top of your motherboard? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yea that sucks. I think I waited about 3 weeks for one 3060TI. Then got lucky on the second when we went to the NE store and they had them on the shelf. That card ended up being defective though, had to return it the next day. Got lucky again that they had one left to exchange, otherwise I would have been waiting a while again. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
@spikerS should add a push fan to the front of that monstrous heat sync. Cant see the single fan in the middle being up for simultaneous push pull on the two heat syncs.
hope you're not one of the 3 3060 listed on FB/Kijiji lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
