Solar was just about maxed out earlier as well, a few still are right up there but obviously it drops as the sun moves

Solar probably saved the day. There was some doubt before whether Alberta was peak summer or peak winter, but for sure its peak summer bright sunshine ultra-hot mid-day after this week. I can imagine they will optimize the angle of the panels for more power after 3 pm.
