Yup I wasn't supposed to upgrade and skip a few years here and there somewhere but somehow have ended up upgrading each year. It's the lack of self control.

14 pro to 15 pro seems like the weakest upgrade they’ve released so far. Same camera, same screen, same storage / ram options. Minor cpu update and usb-c is basically the only change.

Base 14 to base 15 at least you now get the better 48mp camera.

TBH might not be a half bad idea to pick up a firesafe 14 Pro Max if they start cropping up.

Telus often does pretty cheap phone leases on the older phones, like well under what they are worth, I leased my wife's 12 for like $12 a month for 2 years and the buyout was only a couple hundred bucks after that. Will have to keep an eye on them.

After the 15 release, the 12 is now $0 per month with Rogers EPP, no lump sum at the end. Ill be upgrading my wife before they are gone.

I've been using a 12 Pro Max that I bought refurbished for $600 over a year ago now, I swear it was new, had 0 signs of any wear, even using a magnifying glass I couldn't find one sign it'd been used. It's the small mem size but with that iCloud app it doesn't really matter anymore IMO. I'd been using an SE before, what a huge improvement.

USB-C is the most homo invention to come to mankind since the Oscar Meyer wiener vehicle. I fucking HATE USB-c, and really hate that a lot of peripherals for desktop PC are starting to switch to it as well - but for phones, it truly blows. Goats.

Honestly, I like it for anything else. It's great that I can use one cable to charge so many things, including my macbooks. It's just the link buildup in my phone port that I'm frustrated by.
I don't think many other connecters allow for 100w+ of charging.

I might do this. From what I can see, it's not a BIG jump from 13 Pro to 15 Pro and 14 Pro Max would be a great compromise.

I think the camera is the biggest jump + processor. Perfect for foodie pics.

48MP is great if you use raw mode.

Main problem with phone cameras in general is the small arpeture.

got excited for the 120mm telephoto lens but its only for the max version, regular pro is sticking with standard 77mm tele. dont like the size of max so im going for the titanium black pro with 256gb.
dont really care for iphone photography but will be interesting to see.

usb 2.0 on regular pro 3.0 speed capable with the pros

Pixel pwn all the iPhones on photos IMHO but Videos, iPhones can't be beat.
