Looks like we only have to wait 5 more weeks until the ring road from sarcee through to anderson will be open. The sooner they can divert traffic from Glenmore the better.
Did they just announce this? A month or so ago they had fall 2020 completion listed on the project website, but removed it. There seems to be new delays this summer (the new bridge from SB Sarcee to EB Glenmore was supposed to be open mid july and is still undergoing work, new 69th overpass that only just partially opened). I just need this to wrap up so I can have access to the new Costco on the reserve

I was reading it off the wikipedia page but their July construction update mentions the sarcee/glenmore interchange to be completed fall 2020

Does the costco on the reserve have any special features that the other costcos dont like cheaper alcohol and gas?

Nope. Aspenhood was pretty quiet. There was the odd asshole who rips up the side road, but that happens everywhere.

You should come to my temp house in Edgemont next to the race track called country hills Blvd. My god, it’s seriously like there are 1/4 mile races multiple times a night.

I can hear trucks on highway 8 on a quiet day with the wind blowing in the right direction...
Hate to poop on your party, but Summit isn’t Aspen. Shit don’t stink in Aspen. Had to leave as it was too sterile.

The Costco has nothing. I don't recommend it to anyone

Hopefully less congestion compared to Deerfoot Meadows

Deerfoot meadows is crazy busy. Crossiron or Okotoks are okay. Reserve will be midpoint.

I think it will be a positive impact. Better access to road network. Flow of traffic across city is changed with congestion taken away.

Close enough. Even hear trains from down in the river valley sometimes.

Fake news. this new one is the best Costco in the world, and people from all over the city who normally shop at other Costcos in the city should instead start shopping at this new one.

It’s kind of insane that Calgary has 8 Costco’s in its metro area

Including the busiest one in the world pre-covid (at least that is what the deerfoot meadows staff tells you).

Is it more insane that there are still people that don't shop at Costco?

It was the busiest store in western Canada. I think the busiest one is in Korea.

And yet all are still busy as hell.

If the market can support it then why not.
