Conservatives upset Liberals in Nova Scotia today. Perhaps there is hope for at least a minority Conservative win federally

His party's plan for health care includes $430 million in new spending in the sector during the first year of its mandate.

Houston promised to hire an additional 600 nurses and 1,400 continuing-care assistants if elected.
If that's a conservative, I hate to see what the Liberals are doing out there.

The NS conservatives are nothing like the feds. Doesn’t mean much of anything.

The federal conservatives are basically a dead party walking these days.

It’s not surprising when you accept that no one actually cared in the first place.

Yeah their platform was super left-wing that they won on. That's like comparing our NDP to the Federal one.

Trudeau has literally stated now "get vaccinated or else" and people are eating it up like candy. We want authoritarianism, we're clamouring for it. And we're past the point of no return. Election is already over.

Canadians guilty conscience may force them to vote Liberal, but deep down inside, they secretly long for a cold-hearted Conservative to lower taxes, brutalise criminals and rule them like a king!

I'm still astounded how they managed to bury the JWR scandal so quickly.
JWR, Julie Payette, SNC, We, Maj.-Gen. Dany Fortin (and pretty much all the sexual assault stuff). Most canadians just dont care....

Mr. Trudeau you were well known for your lenient stance on crime. But suppose for a second your house was ransacked by thugs. Your family tied up in the basement, with socks in their mouths. You try to open the door, but there’s too much blood on the knob!…

Lol that is a pretty big stretch…. I don’t see this issue as the slippery slope to authoritarianism.

Do you really only just see that? What about the fledging censorship movement the Gov't is endorsing with C-10? Even the fucking CBC warns it's censorship lol. What about the completely illogical and significant ramping up of the war on gun ownership?

But even if it was just that. ANY time your Gov't says you must do what we tell you, you have no choice, or there will be "consequences" you are in a place you should not be in a free society. And the moment it is accepted with open arms once, twice will happen and it will always be a sacrifice for "the greater good of the nation". Is there a time in modern day history this hasn't been the case?

The war on gun ownership has been on for 30 yrs … personally I think our laws as they currently are are good. We need to focus on crime not legal gun ownership.

I am not an expert on c10, I think the overall intent is not bad but the execution is an issue…

The real question is there clearly better solution or party/ leader…. They are all a POS and self serving…

Disagree on gun laws being ok as are. They just banned the most popular sporting rifle for literally no reason.
