Well Burlington is south of Bellingham, when they talk on the radio about fuel supply they reference Burlington not Bellingham...

All I know for sure is Burlington WA is supposed to have good outlet malls

So the lower mainland is basically cut off. Think they'll all die out there or what? This turning into Lord of the flies when they run out of fuel?

I presumed their fuel supply would be from Alberta, because ya know better to use local made rather than imports.

Yep got eaten by the Abbotsford killer whale

Now call me nuts but - Alberta is isolated from it's primary port of entry... and I haven't read about any pipeline disruptions, other than sumas I think the US ports of entry are still open too so all that refined product is still coming back to BC...
As mentioned TMPL is down as of yesterday evening and Enbridge shut down theirs as well today. I hear through the grapevine that one of Enbridge's aerial crossings took damage but haven't seen any pics yet.

The TMEP work, being parallel to the TMPL, was ditching in close proximity to the active line and water flow may have exposed the line. They'll need to give it a good once-over before firing it up again.

Is BC the result of climate change? Are we going to have even more supply chain disruptions now?

Is a setback, but true shipping armageddon would be a Cascadia earthquake. I hope those fringe Japanese predictors are wrong and I can actually make it to old age without ever seeing one.

Yes I've heard from many reliable sources that the rates at which Rail Co's clear shit and get back online is like nothing seen outside of wartime.
    It's amazing.

I'd like to say I'd post more coherently from a real keyboard, but I don't want to lie to you.

Its the result of the Carbon Tax not being high enough.
Higher taxes would have avoided all of this.

Agreed. BC needs to see a 150% carbon tax increase and 100% on fuel.

Trans Mountain Pipeline was shut down as a precaution. They willl require some extensive inspections before it's back up and running I'd think. Even without damage would be a few days. Damage could mean weeks or more.
Everyone is waiting for the water to lower. They’re up in the air today and tomorrow doing visual, then start ILI’s Thurs/Fri
