Z06 Police cars popping up all over the place

Apparently there have been a few sightings of C5 Z06 police cars being used in active duty by cops in the states. These are NOT promotional vehicles.

Thats what happens in the small US towns. The police get a certain budget for the cars and the sherrif decides on how to spend it. I remember back in the 80's how one police department in the states bought a Countach for their highway patrols.
