Lexus GS450H Hybrid with 350hp

Additional specs that Lexus has not yet made official but are essentially gaurenteed:

3.5L direct injection GR-series V6 w/ hybrid electric system - ~350 horsepower, gas milage comparable to a 4-cyl.
Instead of the 6-speed auto that's in the other GS models, this one will have a CVT.

Also kinda neat/odd is that due to the CVT there will be no tachometer. In its place will be a kilowatt meter showing how much energy the electrical system is putting out at any point in time.

This car will come fully loaded just over 60k u.s. And if it's anything like the RX400H when it came out, it will become some big hot topic trendy item among the wealthy, thus causing dealers to refuse to budge at all below sticker and for there to be a waiting list 6 months out. So the rest of us just gotta sorta watch and wait for it to not be the big trend anymore and pick one up used.

Also coming out at the same time will be the GS460, with the new 4.6L V8 making about 350hp and roughly in the same price range, too. So they'll have the GS350, GS450H, and GS460.

Wow... I love the looks of the new GS. So sexy!
So Lexus wants to have a GS350 gas, GS350 Hybrid, GS460 gas (to replace the current GS450?) and the GS450 Hybrid?
Pretty impressive, It almost seems like they are heading towards a new niche with all of their Hybrids

I don't know about the CVT transmission though, I have driven a few and not really been overly impressed

The new GS is hot....im really interested to see some review on the RX400H and now this, id love to see how they hybrids get mileage as well as other things.......how has reliability been with other hybrids?

I drove a CVT tranny from Audi once back in europe, it was cool as hell... Over here they reprogram the trannies to jerk and varry the revs so that it pretends to be a normal auto tranny.. how gay is that?
