    Default Stanley Kubrick

Just wondering who else likes Stanley Kubrick movies/books...
I think they are weirdly demented but very well made and entertaining.

My favorite is a tie between
    FULL METAL JACKET
    and
    A CLOCKWORK ORANGE

Whats everyone else's opinions... Which Kubrick movies you like?

I used to like 'Dr.Strangelove' but its way too long. I think the second half of 'full metal jacket' is great, but i dont really like the boot camp part.

And oddly (i think im the only one) i have never seen clockwork orange right the way through. Ive seen a bit of the begining but thats it.

how can you not like the boot camp part??? I know its fuckin crude, but I think it shows pressures and stuff really well, and it gives me the creeps just before pile shoots himself...

"Soul-brother too beaucoup" That is the best line the whole movie!! A close second is the all-time classic "Me love you long time".

yea, clockwork orange is pretty damn fucked up. its like one long movie about a bad dream...

i watched it at my place with a chick....there were a LOT of odd glances exchanged between us...especially when the dude takes the huge cock statue and points it at the woman...gah bad memories,.
