Rogers phone upgrade credit?

I've been on a contract with Rogers for the past three years now, and it's up for renewal in December. I just talked with a rep from Rogers and they said that I'm not able to get any credit for upgrading my phone at all. They would be able to waive the $35 administration fee and add on a $50 good will credit (because I am looking at a higher end phone), but that's it.

Some of my friends (on telus and rogers) have both been able to get credit to upgrade their phone after their contract was up. As much as $250! Just wondering if anyone else has had this type of credit from rogers before, and if so how much?

I'll be pretty disappointed if they don't give me anything more than $50 because I'm looking at an expensive phone.

Interesting. You're eligible for upgrade after 1 year. And you should be able to get any phone at the same website price + $35 activiation fee given that you sign another contract.
