    Default Flames acquire Huselius

This makes me happy, I've always liked Huselius, when he was put on waivers a couple days ago I thought we should pick him up, and we did.

We lose Montador and some guy named Dustin Johner.

Sounds like a salary swap. Montador was getting kinda cold and looking for sparks elsewhere is more Sutters style.

    Good move.

Whos next on the chopping block? Simon and Donovan are my calls.

He's a 40 point per season guy, and we need any offence we can get, I think he'll complement our team well.

you guys should lay off donovan. you guys just wait hes gonna go on a run and score 20 goals in 15 games and you guys will all think hes a god. either get on or off the bandwagon and praise the team we have. donovan was a key guy in the 03/04 cup run. DOn't you think sutter knows what hes doing? thats why HE is the GM/head coach and you guys aren't

Trust in Sutter to build his team, unlike Risebrough who IMO tore it apart...

Huselius numbers are pretty decent and he has plenty of upside. His numbers are...

    05-06 5 goals, 3 assits, 8 pts
    03-04 10 goals, 21 assits, 31 pts
    02-03 20 goals, 23 assits, 43 pts
    01-02 23 goals, 22 assits, 45 pts

He is definately a better offensive player then Nillson, Donovan or McCarty. So I'm thinking he'll fit in quite nicely on our 2nd line.

Basicly we give up a press box player and get a 20ish (maybe) goal scorer. Good trade off IMO.

And could you guys please stop the Donovan this, Donovan that. He's not gonna score 20 goals this year He'll be lucky to get 6 or 7 mark my words

Oh ya, Simon isnt going anywhere. He is a Sutter type hockey player and when the game is on the line (ie: playoffs) he's a big time hockey player. He will be staying with us.

And Donovan and Weimer wont be going anywhere either. Nobody will want them and there quality depth players, why would we dump them?

donovan has been getting better chances every game. it's only a matter of time before he scores.

he'll score sooner or later, but he won't be potting more than 10 goals imo. he was never a scorer, he got alot of goals using the same move on his breakaways in the 04 season, i'm suprised the goalise didn't catch on.

Donovan and Simon aren't in danger of getting traded. They need Simon cause they need a big presence up front and they don't have any "power forward" except for Simon. Donovan is streaky but he'll hit his streak sometime soon.

Montador was gonna get traded for sure. He hasn't dressed in how many games? Who knows if Huselius will even be on the active roster. He might be put on injured reserve just like Montador. Sutter might have made this move to try and light a fire under guys like Simon and Donovan....dudes that need to pick it up. Sutter's smart...he's got a reason for all moves.

Why wouldn't Huselius play? Flames aren't a very good offensive team, Huselius might play on the 2nd line.

Montador hasn't come up with anything for the team anyways. Huselius has some pretty impressive numbers, far greater than Montador. Another great trade.

Definetly a great trade, 5 goals and 8 assists already this season definetly trumps sitting on the IR. He'll play on are second or third line, and from what i've seen, guys in Florida seem to inherently under-produce, I think it'll be interesting to see how this guy goes under Sutter. This could be another Nilson (fingers crossed).

Just cause Donovans in a slump doesnt mean you should trade him, hes a hard working player. Maybe Sutter should trade Iginla, he hasnt scored a goal in SEVEN games
