    Default 020 16V Tranny required

Anyone have a 2.0L 16V 020 tranny? doubt it, but they are 5 thousand bucks from Volkswagen. Ask around.

    Thanks

Montgomery blows, yeah, they have one, but they are such shady dealings there you never know what you are going to get, Its going to be expensive, I'm going to just do the 6 speed instead.

i agree very shady characters... i dunno if id go as far as buying a tranny off them....

but if they got one you could always get someone else to rebuild it or something??!??!

six speed would be dope though do that for sure

Rebuilding those trannys is about 1300 worth of labor, and you can buy a rebuilt for about 1100 or a new one from VW for 5000 (my cost 3300 installed)

I am also looking to just use an 8V tranny instead, becauseit is so much less expensive! All it requires is swapping pressure plates. Same gear ratons and everything, but I might plop in the 6 speed instead, vey very quick ratios, would make accelleration insane..

I paid $1700 for a rebuilt one from RPI. That was including install which they threw in for free since I was having the entire car overhauled/restored/rebuilt. Worked real well with a Quaife too!

Black gold isn't in stock, and I'm not going all the way to Van to get a tranny, cost involved will be huge said and done.

I dunno ben, maybe price one out. Shipping that from B.C couldn't be worse than paying 3g's for one here.
