Here is what John Garrett thinks of the WJC. I somewhat agree, what's the point of having all those other countries there?

Canada will pull it out, and yet again another well crafted team by brent sutter. hes 11-0 at world juniors, out scoring the opposing team 62-13.... thats fuckin wicked!! Go Canada!

People keep saying Canada won, but for purposes of comparing the two teams it realy was a tie. The score was tied but U.S needed a win to get the bye so they pulled their goalie. Not really that fair to say we won when it was an even match until we scored on an empty net.

They took the risk by doing that. Canada won it fair and square.

    GO canada.

USA took a gamble and lost. A loss is a loss. Simple as that.

    GO canada.
Not a gamble or a mistake, it could be argued Canada played a better tournament, but not game. Like I said, USA HAD to win to get the bye, there was no choice but to pull the goalie. If U.S had tied Canada, Canada would still get the bye.

^It's always a gamble when you pull the net. A mistake? Well not so much because if they tied it would have led to the same result anyways. I also think Canada played a better game overall. They were only outplayed in the second period.

so i'm watching the us and finland game, finns up 2-1, but the play by play guys just made me laugh pretty good.

Pierre: "These Finns are like the Toronto Maple Leafs of international hockey."

Gord: "They haven't won in a long time?"

that steak line was awesome too

ya rask has definitely led the way for finland. doubt they'd be here, up 2-1 in the bronze game, without him.

i really hope finland squeezes it out, i really hope that american team which was supposed to dominate goes home empty handed.
