    Default cheapest place to buy a decent wiring kit?

    hey guys i was looking to instal my subwoofer and amp today i was wondering what are some good places to buy a decently priced wiring kit with power wire/remote lead etc

    i have an extra iConnect 4 guage amp kit sitting at home that my bro would probably be willing to sell. How much are you willing to spend?

    they had one for like 17 bucks @ princess auto

    ^those ones are probably really shietty and don't provide much flow through the wires at all..for a sub..you should be getting an 8 guage amp kit at least but 4 guage recommended.

    haha doesnt make to much of a difference on a small system, a waste of money in my opinion, if all your hooking up is a sub and a couple speakers. Cash converters sells brand new kits with everything you need for ~$25

    edit: oh yea there is also now way he needs to spend the money on the "recommended" 4 gauge wire for a sub. If you feel the need to spend the money, 8 gauge is all you need.

    How on earth do you come to the conclusion that an 8 guage kit is sufficient when he hasn't even told us what amp he is running yet?

    8 gauge is only sufficient for small amps, anything over about 500 watts requires a 4 gauge kit.

    8 g. is for subs not amps I don't wire any amp with less then 4g. You never know if the system will be expanded on in the future, why would you want to do the install twice?
