    Default Towing car back home.

Hey, does anyone know much about getting you car shipped? I was originally gonna tow my Daytona back, but it actually weighs more than my stupid truck, and I'd have to take the drop kit out so that's out of the question. Anyone know approx how much it is from door to door? Lethbridge to Van city... should be almost the same as Calgary to van city I'd guess. What companies should I phone?
    Thx

most closed carriers are about $1500 yeah...

from ontario to calgary at least

unless you go with a freight company via train or something which might be cheaper

    Should cost 300-500

    call hansens forwarding, or searail.

Used them lots of times, shipped a porsche from Halifax in june last year for 1000, took 10 days. great service.

    Cheers

That would be true if the Daytona was registered, insured and roadworthy

My mom said that when she got her explorer and my ranger shipped from edmonton to vanc a couple of years ago, it was 5 or 600 bucks for both vehicles

How would insurance work if something got damaged?

They do a full inspection before they load up the vehicle, so i guess if something (external) gets damaged that didn't appear on the inspection, they'd have to pay for it.

But if shipping an 87 daytona, who cares, right?

rent a 5 ton truck and and extra ramp and load both cars in the back of the truck. Now they are inside, and protected, and you can just drop the 5 ton off at any rental place in vancouver.. measure the length first. and dont forget to strap the cars down.

Hey, do you pay before they ship it? Or after they ship it?
I imagine it be better after cause you can inspect for damages, and no damages, you pay them! haha
