Not sure what year they did the mild facelift (smoother bumpers, etc), either 90 or 91 for the S13's.

Confirmed the facelift was in 1991, so 89 and 90's should be near identical.

allright thanks rage. anything else? engine ? interior?
yeh the older ones have KA24E its a sohc engine
the interior is supposed to be totally different interior between the 89-90. but between the 90 and 91 they changed the front bumer and put in the ka24de instead of the ka24e. most people i know that buy a 89-90 ussually have plans for a front conversion and a new engine. its an awsome car either way. Lammer are you looking at that 89 i told you about?
Laurier
the 90 240sx should have little nostril strips on the nose under the nissan symbol
89-90 1 Peice seats, tends to rust quicker, SOHC Motor, differnt wheels, Differnt Stearing wheels. and more... Zenkies suck..dont get one.
91-93 2 Peice seats, slightly differnt interiors... not much though, better fabric in 91-93, More availble colors, better seats, smoother exterior body parts, DOHC motor...
if your getting one, always check the frame for holes! and the rear foam spoiler. Spoiler becuase the only way you can lift the hatch is by picking up by the spoiler, tends to rust quik, holes will eventually let water get in the trunk...
check the frame for holes where?
also it is slightly easier to do a sr20det swap on a 91 and newer because you dont need new power steering lines, and fluid reservoir....

On the 89, the factory daytime running lights look like a cheap Canadian Tire fog light kit mounted under the bumper. The sunroof isn't power... I think it tilts up manually or removes completely, and is quite small.
I only know this because a friend bought an 89 hatchback brand new.
